As you might have seen, nightgen is under a bit of development at the moment. If you have not heard yet, Nightgen has been under extreme financial pressures due to its popularity on its download system. This has left myself with the hard decision of changing both the identity of Nightgen and its functions.
So what will the new Nightgen be?
The aim of the next version of Nightgen is to host an Open International Techno Community, whereby the primary aim is to spread the word of techno and promote both artists and techno promotions.
Who will be involved?
So the question i bet all of you are asking is, who will be apart of the next Nightgen generation? Well if you did'nt know, or somehow forget, originally Nightgen was a Techno Dj Team, covering both hardtechno and techno music styles. With this next version, all styles will be catered for, both hard and softer techno, however there will be no Dj Team as such, although many exisiting Nightgen Dj's will be apart of the administration team.
How will the site work?
The way that this new version of Nightgen will work is through you, the users. Each of you have the oppurtunity to register an account on Nightgen. This will give you the power to submit news, interviews, gallery images, events, ideas, and of course forum posts. Due to the popularity, no mp3's will be hosted directly on Nightgen, as this was largely the demise of the last version of Nightgen. With that said, there is the future possibility of record sales and promotion through a section of Nightgen, however this is not the priority at the moment.
What is happening now?
Well at the moment a forum has been installed and also a content management system. This was after much research, as it is an integral part to the future operations of Nightgen. With that said, the skinning and styling of the site is now under development, a changelog will be established below to keep you updated with the progress.
