R obert Natus aka Pneumatik , Brainshaker , … , labelhead of Bitshift and Systemcalls carried out a lot of interesting things during the last few years and surprised his audience again and again with fresh, innovative and varied output on leading multinational techno labels like 4x4 , Compound , Planet Rhythm , Highball-Music , Construct Rhythm , Holzplatten , Subsounds , to name just a few. After the hitsingle " Robert Natus & Arkus P. - Hardcore Salsa " successfully entered the official German single charts , Robert took a little timeout to concentrate his attention to his first long player called „ Straight “! It's got to be said, t:classixx have got it going on right now. The German label came up trumps with the debut Tube-Tech album and the DJ Rush DVD a few months ago and now with Robert Natus ! This young producer has created an incredibly self-assured and sophisticated first album that embraces electro, techno, C64 sounds and kickin' rhythms on one CD accordingly on two vinyls.This may be machine music, but it's also infused with plenty of soul and Robert even adds his own unique fast-driven-sound on it. “ Der Strom Der Zeit ” may be fine home listening but there's also plenty for the more discerning dancefloors to get their teeth into tracks like “ C64 Core Protection ” and “ Straight ”, as well as Robert's superb previous single “ Manner Of Death ”. On this evidence Robert Natus shows us his very special talent! That's pretty tough !
