Outblast, einer der großen Hardcore-Artists, hat am 21. Oktober 2016 bekannt gegeben, dass er seine Musik-Karriere nicht weiterführen möchte.
Im letzten Jahr hat er bereits seine Auftritte stark reduziert und wird nun seinen letzten Auftritt auf der Masters auf Hardcore (wo seine Karriere auch begonnen hatte) am 25.03.2017 haben.
Er hat sich neue Ziele im Leben gesetzt und möchte der neuen Generation von Hardcore-Producern den Vortritt lassen.
 
Was er selber dazu geschrieben hat -> 
It has been quiet
And it has not been unnoticed; the last year I drastically limited my on-stage performances, tours and music releases.
After many e-mails, questions by fans at events and inboxes I do feel the need to come with a statement regarding my career as Outblast.
 
My professional hardcore career as an artist was one of the most dazzling journeys of my life.
What started as a passion and hobby ended in a career where I was privileged to express myself on all the massive stages, overviewing crowds of uncountable proportions and could work with the greatest minds in hardcore music.
On top, I came in contact with literally thousands of amazing people with all kinds of different backgrounds, in countries all over the world.
Hardcore music enriched my life and will always be the foundation of the man I am today.
But all things come to an end.
It is time to end my professional career as hardcore artist.
On the 25th of March 2017 I will be on stage for the last time as Outblast, at the event that gave me all.
The Outblast saga started with Masters of Hardcore and it will end with Masters of Hardcore.
 
I sincerely hope that all those who supported me throughout the years respect my decision and I want to thank you all for this magnificent dream.
My reasons to move onwards are reasons of ambition, drive and creating space for the new generation artists.
I need those new ambitions and new goals to grow and challenge myself.
When I do something, I do it full force and all the way.
If I have to compromise that, I cant be myself, despite the money, status or security it brings.
 
But I wont leave hardcore music and the scene that represents it, I will only continue on another hardcore pathway.
Many of you know I have always been creatively involved behind the scenes as advisor, creator and thinker.
There I found renewed drive, ambitions and most of all true happiness.
 
With this statement I do need to thank Matthijs The King, Eugenio Bass-D, Danny Angerfist, Angelo Negative A and Bart Catscan.
They also made the Outblast success possible and supported me all the way.
The last words are for those who attended my events, witnessed my dj-sets, bounced on the live-acts and listened to my music.
The memories you gave me will never be forgotten.
You are my people.
I will see you soon!

Verdammt, leg seit 22 Jahren auf meine ersten Platten waren Frankfurt Terror, Mokum, Shockwave und PCP Scheiben. WER IST DEN OUTBLAST??? Einer von den Thunderdome Buben? Dann wärs kee Verlust.
