The jubilee celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Tresor reach their peak in July this year with the first ever festival hosted by the club over four days from 21.–24.07. The Tresor 25 Years Festival will be one of Tresor’s largest offerings to date in program and scale – it will take place not only in Tresor, but also the lower floor of Kraftwerk.

 

The line-up for the Tresor 25 Years Festival reads like a who’s who of electronic music history, a synthesis of the essence of a quarter century of activities for the club and label that initiated the techno movement in Berlin.

 

Staying faithful to its origins, the festival presents an all-star program of Detroit originators – Robert Hood, Daniel Bell premiering his new DBX live show in Berlin along with John Tejada, Gerald Donald presenting Arpanet and Blake Baxter.

 

The famous Detroit/Berlin axis is represented by its most famous exponents: Juan Atkins and Moritz von Oswald come together on stage for the German premiere of their new Borderland show, shortly after the explosive release of their new Transport album.

 

Adding to the list is a selection of the most influential figures of the club and label’s history. Starting with live performances by Surgeon, Chain Reaction fixture Vainqueur, as well as long-time collaborators Regis and James Ruskin who come together for a rare O/V/R show. For the occasion, Berlin correspondants DJ Pete and Sleeparchive also present a special TR-101 performance. Guitarist Jochen Arbeit (Einstürzende Neubauten), Achim Färber and Zeitblom also bring Automat to the Tresor 25 Years stage. DJ sets come from Moritz von Oswald, Juan Atkins, Regis, Sterac, Pacou, Fumiya Tanaka, DJ Stingray and many many more. Ellen Allien and Tanith also relaunch Club The Rest for one night only.

 

Tresor’s rich musical heritage extends itself through the new generations that constantly join the techno mothership, pushing the boundaries of its sound and expanding its definitions. Dasha Rush, Donato Dozzy, DJ Deep, Jonas Kopp, Claudia Anderson and Marcelus represent the future dimension of the institution.

 

An exceptional musical program set in the unique industrial grounds of Kraftwerk Berlin, means the Tresor 25 Years Festival will be a historic event in the continuing story of the ‘Home of Techno’.
